She is, the firm said in a statement, a “highly-regarded” partner with a diverse practice, acting in defence of professional indemnity and personal injury insurance claims and workplace and industrial law matters for employers and government.
Her “energy, enthusiasm and perspective make her ideal for this leadership role”, the firm proclaimed.
The news follows the firm’s naming of seven new partners in late May, as well as its addition of a partner from Cornwalls in late October.
Ms Reilly takes over from Mr Solomon (also pictured), who has held the role of Canberra managing partner for the last 14 years. In that time, Moray said, the Canberra office “has gone from strength to strength”.
Mr Solomon will, moving forward, focus attention on his CTP and general insurance practice and clients.
Speaking about the appointment, Moray national managing partner Geoff Connellan said: “We are thrilled to welcome Emma as the new managing partner for our Canberra office and to our national executive team.
“The partners also congratulate and thank John for his leadership and continued support.”
