Mr Johanes has been instrumental in developing these services in Australia over several years and in developing and expanding Fragomen’s capability across the Asia-Pacific region. He has also led various global client engagements for audit and compliance-related advisory work in conjunction with the practices in each of the respective jurisdictions.

“As Fragomen continues to expand its service offerings across the Asia-Pacific, I’m delighted to step into this new role and further the firm’s commitment to providing strategic immigration counsel and specialist advisory and compliance-related support to clients in this important market,” he said.

Mr Johanes also supports Fragomen’s government strategies group, contributing to the firm’s engagement with authorities on legislative and policy reform, and has appeared before Senate committees to give evidence on behalf of the Australian practice.

Teresa Liu, managing partner of Fragomen’s Australia and New Zealand practice and a member of the firm’s executive committee, said this experience would bolster client services.
