The partnership of Corrs Chambers Westgarth has reappointed Gavin MacLaren as senior partner and chief executive for a further term, which will see him serve in those roles until 30 June 2033.

The reappointment was passed by the partners at a national meeting in the afternoon of Wednesday, 14 February.

Speaking following the meeting, Corrs chairman Stephen Price said: “Gavin came to Corrs with a mandate from the partners to lead a transformation of the firm, and he has delivered this in excess of all expectation.

“The extension of Gavin’s appointment is a reflection of the firm’s success under Gavin’s leadership and our commitment to maintain this positive momentum.”

The news follows the firm’s appointment of a debt capital markets partner from global rival King & Wood Mallesons in January, its addition of a tax partner from PwC in August, and its promotion of three to the firm’s partnership in May.

Reflecting on his reappointment, Mr MacLaren said: “We have achieved remarkable success together, and I am confident that we will continue to do so.

“I look forward to working with Corrs’ clients, partners, and staff to deliver on the next phase of the firm’s vision.”
