This year marks the 800th anniversary of the sealing of the 1225 version of Magna Carta which promised justice for all. But in the light of surging anti-Semitism, it is worth considering whether governments have lived up to that promise.

This will be the focus of the annual Robin Speed Memorial Lecture on the rule of law, which will be delivered on June 12 by Henry Ergas AO. His address, entitled “From Magna Carta to Anti-Semitism: The Call to Justice for All,” will be followed by a panel discussion where he will be joined by Margaret Cunneen SC and Chris Merritt.

It’s set to be a great evening of thought-provoking discussion and networking with leaders in law, policy, and public affairs.

The event will be held in Sydney and RSVP is by 22 May 2025.
