Global law firm Kennedys has grown its partnership with the elevation of 21, including a partner in the firm’s Perth practice.
Kennedys has entered its sixth year of double-digit promotions, with 21 elevated to partner in the firm’s global annual promotions round.
In Australia, Alen Sinanovic was promoted in Perth. He specialises in insurance litigation relating to professional indemnity, directors’ and officers’, property and employment practices liability claims.
Previously a special counsel, Sinanovic has been with the firm for more than four years and has acted in many high-profile and complex disputes, with a broad range of experience in state and federal jurisdictions.
This comes after the firm lured three partners from BigLaw rival Clyde & Co, who brought across a 16-strong team in Melbourne, in June last year.
The new partner promotions also span across the UK, US, and Ireland and take Kennedys’ partnership to 363, up from 349 last year. This is the firm’s largest number of partner promotions since 2022.
These promotions include eight women and 13 men and include 16 within the Kennedys insurance practice, including Sinanovic, bolstering its capabilities across strategic lines of business such as professional liability and marine, according to the firm.
Speaking about the appointments, global managing partner Meg Catalano gave “huge congratulations” to the new partners.
“It has been a privilege witnessing their growth and progression over the years. At Kennedys, our people are our greatest competitive advantage, and today’s promotions underscore the breadth and depth of our talent,” she said.
“As they begin their new roles, they will each play an instrumental part in further strengthening our global reach, enhancing the value we deliver to clients, and shaping the path forward as we continue to navigate the evolving demands of business.”
