Lawyers Weekly is delighted to unveil more than 330 finalists for the 25th annual Australian Law Awards.
For the past 25 years, the Australian Law Awards has set the benchmark for excellence across the legal profession.
Hosted in partnership with principal partner Dye & Durham, this unparalleled awards program unites leaders and rising stars in Australia’s legal profession, celebrating high-performing students, academics, practitioners, and firms across the country.
The Australian Law Awards has developed a robust awards methodology to form the backbone for assessing, analysing and benchmarking Australia’s leading legal professionals.
The judging criteria have been uniquely designed to be both quantitative and qualitative and acknowledge growth, business development, diversity, leadership, innovation, business excellence, and contribution to Australia’s legal profession.
This year, a total of 334 finalists have been selected from the pool of 1,051 submissions for the prestigious awards program.

The worthy finalists will battle it out for trophies across the 35 categories, comprising 22 individual and 13 group categories.
Finalists in the individual category include academics, company secretaries, dealmakers, indigenous leaders, partners, litigators, senior associates, sole practitioners, and rising stars.
This year’s group finalists include banking and finance teams, boutique law firms, legal operations and support professionals, new law firms, and regional/suburban law firms.
The awards will culminate in a black-tie gala ceremony on Thursday, 14 August 2025, at The Star in Sydney. Click here to buy tickets.
