National law firm Macpherson Kelley has strengthened its wills and estates team with the appointment of a new principal lawyer.
Mimi Su (pictured) has joined Macpherson Kelley as a principal lawyer in the wills and estates team, based at the firm’s Sydney office.
In a statement, the national law firm said she is an “accomplished” wills and estates lawyer with extensive experience in all areas, including testamentary trusts, business succession, probate, estate administration, estate litigation, and trust disputes.
Su has experience representing a wide range of clients from high-net-worth individuals to family groups, advising on the transfer of intergenerational wealth, succession planning for family trusts, and disputes regarding testamentary capacity.
National managing principal Grant Guenther said Su’s appointment is part of the firm’s goal to develop a team adept at navigating both the technical complexities and the sensitive personal aspects of wills and estate planning.
“Mimi’s appointment reflects our commitment to building a team that understands both the technical and human sides of wills and estate planning,” Guenther said.
“She has the ability to deliver commercially astute advice in a space that often involves complex family dynamics.”
Speaking about her appointment, Su expressed enthusiasm for joining Macpherson Kelley and the opportunity to support her clients through every stage of succession planning.
“I look forward to collaborating with the wider Macpherson Kelley team to offer my clients comprehensive advice throughout every stage of the succession planning journey,” Su said.
This news follows the national law firm’s appointment of a new principal lawyer and promotion of five lawyers at the end of June.
