Global cloud-based legal technology provider Clio has launched its new AI tool, Clio Duo, across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
Clio Duo, an AI tool embedded within Clio’s practice management platform, has officially launched in Australia and APAC.
Clio Duo automates repetitive work, extracts key insights from documents, and provides surfacing smart recommendations, helping firms to increase productivity, enhance client service, and drive profitability.
The tool also helps firms accelerate casework, reduce admin burdens, and make more informed decisions with ease. Common tasks like drafting emails, retrieving matter details, generating summaries, and recommending time entries can also be completely automated.
This news follows the release of Clio’s 2025 Legal Trends for Mid-Sized Law Firms report, which revealed that more mid-sized firms are implementing AI than ever. Further, according to Clio’s latest Legal Trends Report, 79 per cent of firms are already using AI in some capacity, with more than 80 per cent expecting to increase their usage over the next 12 months. Seventy per cent of clients also said they are open to or prefer working with law firms that use AI.
This news also comes after the provider recently acquired ShareDo, a UK-based provider of cloud-based enterprise software for large law firms, in a move to expand its global footprint.
Early-access firms in Australia have already seen results from Clio Duo, according to Clio APAC general manager Denise Farmer, with the tool helping them close cases faster, respond to clients more promptly, and reduce time spent on manual document review.

Clio Duo is purpose-built for legal professionals and draws from a firm’s existing Clio data, never training on client information. Every action is logged for auditability, and firm-wide permission controls ensure that users only see what they’re authorised to view.
The tool is now available to all Clio Manage customers in Australia and APAC.
