Morae has teamed up with Tensis, which specialises in high-trust automation designed to enhance complex business processes, for Smarter Drafter Pro. Through the partnership, Morae said it can continue to provide clients with best-in-class technology, supported by legal experts, to solve real-world legal problems and deliver quantifiable outcomes.

Document automation is a critical area for its global client base, and as such, Morae had a need for a modern SaaS solution with seamless, deep integration with iManage Work 10 as well as the ability to scale, across both high-volume and high-complexity use cases, thus ensuring wide adoption across law firms.

Smarter Drafter, the provider said, which had already been successfully deployed by Morae’s APAC team, “was the clear choice”.

“The solution solves the problem of inefficient, error-prone legal document drafting caused by human error, disconnected systems and limited resources, meaning law firms reclaim time, improve accuracy and quality and reduce risk,” Morae said in a statement.

Global law firm Dentons has “pioneered this new approach”, the provider continued, in partnership with Morae and Tensis. With Smarter Drafter Pro, Dentons has introduced a new category of legal technology: Document automation-as-a-service.

“By embedding automation directly into its iManage-first ecosystem, Dentons reduced processes from 30 minutes to 30 seconds, delivering an 80 per cent time saving and a massive productivity dividend,” Morae explained, which has allowed the global firm to, among other things, increase capacity without adding headcount, and accelerate onboarding of new lawyers and practice groups.

To support this transformation, Morae has established a Smarter Drafter Centre of Excellence in India, leveraging its in-house legal experts, to provide Dentons with scalable implementation support and content capability, while building delivery capacity for other global clients, it said.

Morae chief revenue officer Keith Fenner said the provider’s focus “is on solving real-world legal challenges for our clients, ensuring technology is practical, scalable, embedded in the systems they already rely on and supported by legal experts”.

“Smarter Drafter Pro helps us deliver exactly that. By combining our expertise with Tensis’ innovative solution, we are helping firms like Dentons redefine what’s possible with document automation at a global scale,” he said.

Tensis chief executive Steve Hantos said the partnership with Morae “represents an important milestone in our mission to redefine how law firms approach automation”.

“Smarter Drafter Pro is not just another point solution; it is infrastructure – an intelligent layer that supports firm-wide transformation. With Morae’s global reach and delivery excellence, we can bring these benefits to the world’s leading firms,” he said.

Dentons Australia CIO Scott Connors added: “With Morae and Tensis, we’ve been able to operationalise automation at scale. What used to take 30 minutes now happens in seconds, freeing up our lawyers to focus on higher-value work. This isn’t just about efficiency – it’s about creating a new way of working across our entire firm.”
