National law firm Colin Biggers & Paisley has elevated an employment lawyer to its partnership, and promoted an insurance lawyer to senior associate, effective 1 January.
Leanne Dearlove is being promoted to partner, and Emily Panizza is being promoted to senior associate, at Colin Biggers & Paisley (CBP).
Dearlove works in the national firm’s employment team, and her practice focuses on assisting employers with a wide range of employment-related issues, including restructures, performance management, and absences.
Panizza is in the firm’s insurance team and works with Australian and London insurers advising on professional indemnity matters involving accountants, liquidators, and barristers, as well as construction professionals.
The promotions take effect on January 1, 2026.
Speaking about the promotions, CBP managing partner Dr Andrew Murray – who recently appeared on The Lawyers Weekly Show to discuss, among other things, his unintentional journey to firm leadership – said: “Leanne and Emily are to be congratulated on their significant contributions to our practice and to their respective sectors of focus across employment and safety and insurance.”
“As we celebrate our 125th anniversary, these recent promotions reflect our continued growth and commitment to supporting and developing our talented lawyers delivering excellent legal services to our clients,” he said.
