The construction team is led by Colin Biggers & Paisley’s newest partners: Kayla Causer and Blake Frost, each of whom brings significant experience across project procurement, delivery, contract negotiation, risk management, and all forms of dispute resolution.

Causer and Frost each have extensive experience advising developers, contractors, consultants, and government stakeholders across major construction, infrastructure, and development projects.

“The opportunity to join a large team with such strong capabilities across construction, property, planning, and infrastructure was a major drawcard,” Frost said of the move.

“I look forward to working with colleagues across the practice to support our clients as they deliver some of the market’s most significant projects.”

They are joined by senior associate Stephanie Purser, who advises on front- and back-end construction matters and has supported principals, developers, contractors, and subcontractors across project documentation, dispute resolution, and project risk issues.

The team also includes solicitor Kimi Pace, paralegal Lulu Crampton and legal assistant Ella Nielsen.

Managing partner Dr Andrew Murray welcomed them to the firm.

“The addition of Blake, Kayla, Steph, and Kimi further strengthens our construction capability in the Queensland market and more broadly,” Murray said.

“They are a strong complement to our national construction practice and its continued growth trajectory.”
