Of the 85 senior promotions across the globe, 16 were based in Kennedys’ Sydney, Perth, and Melbourne offices.
Liability lawyer Amanda Do and insurance lawyer Ashleigh Sutherland, based in Sydney and Perth, respectively, were elevated into the role of senior counsel as part of Kennedys’ global promotion round.
In Australia, the firm also promoted 14 to senior associate.
In the insurance practice, the new senior associates are Sydney-based lawyers Abigail Ward, Anna-Lisa Tie, Carmen Zhu, Chiara Jalas, Gaby Hodgson, and Paul Hou; Perth lawyer Luke Docker; and Grace Hailstones from Melbourne.
In healthcare, they are Sydney’s Lydia Heffron and Melbourne’s Isabelle Turudia.
The liability practice saw the elevation of Daniel Marshall, Lisa Dai and Valeria Baranovski, all from Sydney.
Abby Shieh, from Melbourne, was promoted within the employment practice.

Earlier this year, Kennedys named James Melvin the APAC regional managing partner and Nicole Wearne the Australian managing partner.
