Stewart Garrett (pictured) has been appointed vice president of Harvey in APAC. He will lead the provider’s next phase of growth in the region, building its local teams and deepening its support for customers across the region.

He brings, the provider said in a statement, extensive experience building and leading teams across APAC at Broadcom, MongoDB, and New Relic.

Stewart will join Harvey on 10 November.

The news follows the provider’s recently announced expansion into Tokyo, where it will open an office early next year. To read about more of Harvey’s updates, click here.

Elsewhere, Ashleigh Whittaker has been appointed as Harvey’s director for APAC strategy and country manager for Australia and New Zealand. Together, Whittaker and Stewart will partner to shape the provider’s APAC strategy and strengthen collaboration across its offices, alongside her continued leadership of Australia and New Zealand.

These investments, Harvey said, “advance our mission to build the operating system for legal globally, supporting our growing customer base of law firms and in-house legal teams across APAC”.

“For in-house teams, this week’s launch of Intake marks our latest evolution, giving businesses one front door to legal support. It routes requests to agents and lawyers and connects contract work to Contract Intelligence for review, negotiation, and portfolio insights, with Legal setting the rules,” the provider said.

“As we expand what Harvey can do, we’re also helping law firms and organisations build and own their intelligence at scale. With Stewart leading the region, we’re investing in the local expertise and customer relationships to support organisations across APAC in that transformation.”
