InfoTrack can now be connected to Claude workspaces, allowing practitioners to initiate searches and review results in one place without needing to build a custom integration or switch between platforms to complete a task.

The update reflects research identifying document review, legal research and drafting as the most common applications of AI.

A 2025 Thomson Reuters study found 77 per cent of lawyers use AI for document review and 74 per cent for research. The Law Society Journal also observed the same pattern.

By implementing the connector, practitioners can check contract or lease signatories against current ASIC records; investigate property ownership and transaction histories; and cross-check property, company and asset information against a financial balance sheet to help identify discrepancies.

InfoTrack’s head of AI solutions, Ajay Kumar, said: “The value of AI in legal work depends on how readily its answers can be tested against a reliable source.”

“When Claude is connected to InfoTrack, a practitioner is no longer relying on a general response to a question about a company, a property or a signatory, because the findings come from establish[ed] Australian records and can be checked against that source before any professional decision is made.”

InfoTrack’s listing followed a rigorous approval process with Claude’s developer, Anthropic, and provides an additional level of assurance to practitioners who bring AI into their work.

The connector draws on InfoTrack’s trusted Australian property and company information infrastructure and ensures the practitioner retains control throughout.

“Lawyers approve each InfoTrack order before it is placed, and the results are available for review and verification within Claude, which means the technology supports professional judgement and leaves every decision with the lawyer,” Kumar said.
