>> Feature: The business of going green: Why law firms should reduce their carbon footprint

Sustainability experts offer their ideas for lawyers and firms going green:

- Reduce air travel and invest in video conferencing technology

- Go paperless where possible and use double-sided printing (and of course, recycle)

- Turn off computers overnight or over the weekends

- Utilise car share arrangements

- Engage with clients about how to work together to reduce carbon footprints

- Buy food from local farmers if providing breakfast, lunch or dinner for staff

- Send office food waste to Oz Harvest Food Rescue, a not-for-profit organisation which rescues excess food and distributes it to charities

We're evolving — and so should your insights. Heads up — Lawyers Weekly is going premium from 1 May for just $5 a month. Stay informed without missing a beat. More information coming soon.
