On this week's episode of The Lawyers Weekly Show we look at the rise of firms seeking third-party funding, in the forms of litigation funding and disbursement funding.

Our host, Lawyers Weekly journalist Lara Bullock, chats with Anthony Hersch, who is the disbursement manager at funding company JustKapital Litigation Partners.

Mr Hersch explains the difference between litigation funding, which is predominantly used by large firms engaging in large shareholder class action suits, and disbursement funding, which is predominantly sought by small to medium firms for personal injury cases.

He also touches on the history and future of third-party funding.
