GrainCorp appoints new GC
GrainCorp has announced it has appointed a new group general counsel who will commence her new role on 1 February 2017.
The company has welcomed Amanda Luhrmann to the role, where she will be a member of the executive leadership team, reporting to GrainCorp managing director and CEO Mark Palmquist. She has also been appointed as GrainCorp's joint company secretary in addition to this new role.

“Amanda brings great experience to our business, having worked for more than 20 years across the FMCG, industrial products, media and transport sectors in private practice and in-house roles,” said Mr Palmquist.
“Amanda is very commercial in her approach to in-house counsel and a strong leader who will be a valuable contributor to the leadership team and the GrainCorp Group.”
In her new role, Ms Luhrmann will be responsible for managing GrainCorp’s governance, risk, insurance and legal functions.
Throughout her career, Ms Luhrmann had held numerous corporate counsel, compliance and executive management positions across a diverse range of industries.
She was recruited to GrainCorp by recruitment agency Dolman. Ms Luhrmann will join the company from Vittoria Food & Beverage where she was general counsel and responsible for the company’s group legal services across Australia, New Zealand and the US.
Prior to this, Ms Luhrmann served as general counsel and compliance manager of Crane Group.
Emma Musgrave
Emma Musgrave (née Ryan) is the managing editor, professional services at Momentum Media.
Emma has worked for Momentum Media since 2015, including five years spent as the editor of the company's legal brand - Lawyers Weekly. Throughout her time at Momentum, she has been responsible for breaking some of the biggest stories in corporate Australia. In addition, she has produced exclusive multimedia and event content related to the company's respective brands and audiences.
Prior to joining Momentum Media, Emma worked in breakfast radio, delivering news to the Central West region of NSW, before taking on a radio journalist role at Southern Cross Austereo, based in Townsville, North Queensland.
She holds a Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) degree from Charles Sturt University.
