CUTLER HUGHES & HARRIS has lured Jacquie Seemann from Minter Ellison, to head up its employment and industrial relations group.
Formerly a special counsel at Minters, Seemann has become partner in her new firm, where she will utilise more than 15 years’ experience in employment and industrial relations law.
“[Seemann’s] appointment from Minters demonstrates the opportunity that many senior lawyers from top-tier firms are seeing in the mid tier,” Tom Boyce, Cutlers’ executive partner, said.
“We are delighted that [she] has decided to take the next step of her career with Cutlers. She brings a wealth of experience that our substantial employment and industrial relations client base will appreciate.”
According to Cutlers, Seemann is known as a leading practitioner in discrimination and equal opportunity law. She has advised clients across a full range of human resources and industrial relations issues, including structuring and managing the employment relationship from recruitment to termination, dealing with disputes and litigation, and restructuring and redundancies. She also has experience in dealing with compliance with employment-related laws including occupational health and safety, and privacy.
Seemann brings considerable knowledge in designing and presenting tailored compliance and training programs for employers. She has advised major corporate clients in a range of industries including financial services, education, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, retail, media and transport.
