NEW ZEALAND firm Minter Ellison Rudd Watts has expanded its ranks across Auckland and Wellington with the appointment of 11 senior solicitors.

The position of senior solicitor is a new one for the firm, with these promotions being the first such appointments.

National human resources director Chris Wright said “the firm recognises the level at which these individuals are operating and the quality of their work. These promotions are a tribute to each lawyer’s expertise and commitment, and the esteem with which they are held by both clients and partners alike”.

In the Auckland office, the firm has promoted Shannon Kelly, Rachel Groves, Michael Ussher and Patrick OHalloran. Over in Wellington, the promotions included Chloe McLoughlin, Meredith Ussher, Natalie Becher, Jo Phillips, Julie Maslin, Katie Elkin and Emma Warden.

McLoughlin, Meredith Ussher, Becher and Groves operate in corporate and commercial law, while Michael Ussher and Phillips are well known real estate lawyers. O’Halloran is a member of the banking and finance division, while Maslin specialises in dispute resolution. Kelly, Elkin and Warden all practise employment law.
