Brisbane firm de Groots Wills & Estate Lawyers have expanded their estate litigation team with the introduction of two new lawyers.
Trina Richards has been appointed lawyer to the estate litigation team. Since being admitted as a solicitor in 2003 she has specialised in property and estate litigation. Richards particularly enjoys the strategic thinking required in this area of law, the ability to obtain early outcomes in disputes, and forward planning to provide better protection for clients and to avoid future problems. She also recognises the importance of alternative dispute resolution as a substitute for litigation.
Joining Richards is Caite Brewer, also appointed lawyer to the estate litigation team. She was admitted as a barrister in 1994 and as a solicitor in 2001 and has more than 12 years’ experience in commercial and estate litigation. Brewer believes in giving thorough attention to legal detail and, recognising that outcomes, costs and personal service are major issues for clients, aims to resolve disputes so that the cost of going to trial can be avoided if possible. Brewer was also a former editor of the Queensland Bar News.
