Barry & Nilsson Lawyers have appointed Gillian Sheppard and Natalee Barr as new senior associates in the firm’s insurance section. Sheppard was admitted in 2000 and joined the firm’s professional indemnity team in 2003. She has practised exclusively in the area of insurance and previously worked for an international insurer in London in its professional indemnity group. She continues to specialise in defending professional indemnity matters relating to a wide variety of professions. Barr has six years’ experience defending insurance claims. Since joining the firm in 2004, her practice has focused on defending liability claims including claims by labour hire employees, claims for nervous shock and loss of dependency, construction and workplace accident claims, agricultural loss claims as well as general property damage and product liability claims.
