Hall & Wilcox has appointed financial services lawyer Harry New as a partner in its corporate and commercial services groups. New has made a substantial contribution to the development of the firm’s financial services practice and sits on the executive committee of the Melbourne chapter of the Financial Planning Association.

 
 

The firm has also promoted Wendy Sylva to the position of special counsel. Sylva is a member of the firm’s Family Business and Wealth Management practice.

Cridlands Lawyers has promoted Carl Black to the position of partner in their property, commercial and financial services division. Black joined the firm eight years ago. Cridlands has also appointed Cameron Ford as in-house counsel. He joined the firm two years ago and was appointed as senior associate just over a year ago.

MacGillivrays has appointed Chris Studach as an associate with the firm’s property services division. Studach specialises in commercial acquisitions and disposals as well as retail and commercial leasing.

The firm has also appointed three solicitors: commercial litigator and insurance lawyer Aaden Collins in its property division; corporate banking lawyer Gordon Perkins in its banking division, and corporate lawyer Kane Jacobson in its corporate and business division.

Harwood Andrews Lawyers has appointed Joanna Monahan as a director of the firm in its business law division, where she was previously a senior lawyer.

Piper Alderman has appointed Mark Cumming as a senior associate in their Melbourne corporate division. He has had broad experience in corporate, commercial and property law.
