Bartier Perry Solicitors Sydney office has appointed a team of lawyers to its commercial and commercial litigation practice groups. All are from Cridlands. The new team include partners Greg Blewitt, Ken Rook, and Gordon Berner. Also starting this week are consultant Doug Stewart, senior associate Cherrie Homer, associate Jennifer Brown and solicitors Charlotte Rieger and Bernard Lloyd. Paralegals Preetika Gyaneswar and Snezana Roskov have also joined Bartier Perry.from Cridlands.

 
 

Cutler Hughes & Harris has boosted its corporate and commercial capability with the promotion of Eden McMahon to senior associate. McMahon specialises in general corporate work with an emphasis on franchising.

Minter Ellison has appointed two new partners to its finance team in Melbourne. The firm said David Eterovic and Theo Kindynis bring a wealth of experience advising banks and corporates in corporate and project finance deals, with a focus on the infrastructure and energy sectors. Eterovic was a partner with Minter Ellison for 10 years from 1992 and both he and Kindynis were heavily involved in the privatisation of the Victorian electricity sector. The Perth office of the firm has also appointed John OHara, a practitioner from London in the field of public works and services provision, to join its expanding government, environment and planning practice. He was previously a senior solicitor in the planning and public law team at London firm Denton Wilde Sapte.

Clayton Utz has reappointed Gary Best as a partner in the firm’s Sydney office. The firm said Best, who was previously a partner at Clayton Utz in the 1980s, is considered by many in the marketplace to be the leading lawyer practising in the Australian real estate markets sector. He specialises in major projects, real estate development projects, structured property investments, corporate and project equity, finance investment structuring, and corporate finance and tendering.

Middletons has appointed Rohan Ingleton as a partner in its property and development group in Melbourne. He joins the firm from Maddocks, where as a partner he was involved in a broad variety of property transactions.

Hammond Worthington has two new associates following the promotion of Loretta Care and the recruitment of Mary Lanigan. Both women practise in the firm’s family law team.
