Herbert Geer & Rundle has appointed Peter Kay as a senior associate within the firm’s expanding corporate & finance team in Melbourne. Kay specialises in acquisition and leveraged finance, structured leasing finance and project finance.

Freehills has appointed Tessa Hoser as a partner in its banking & finance group, effective from 1 July. The firm said Hoser is one of Australia’s most experienced and respected securitisation practitioners. In a previous role as a partner at Blake Dawson Waldron she was heavily involved in building that firm’s securitisation capacity.

Rachel Cosentino has been appointed as a partner at Gibson & Gibson in WA. Cosentino heads Gibson & Gibson’s litigation team. She has valuable experience in the areas of claims and litigation, contractual disputes, claims for professional negligence, employment and equal opportunity issues and administrative law matters.
