Noel Duffy has joined MacGillivrays to lead their estate planning division. He arrived in Australia in 2004 from London where he worked for more than 13 years in estate and asset planning and administration. Before moving to Australia, Duffy worked as head of trusts for the Guinness family. Linda Dreghorn has also joined MacGillivrays’ business services division to assist on a major GOC infrastructure project. She will also provide general corporate and commercial advice to MacGillivrays’ clients. For the last 18 months Linda has been the company secretary and legal counsel for Major Brisbane Festivals Pty Ltd.
Ben Constance has joined Hunt & Hunt Lawyers as a solicitor in the commercial team. Before working with Hunt & Hunt, he was a solicitor with Minter Ellison in Canberra, focusing on commercial property, banking and finance.
Stephanie Hicks has recently joined Nicol Robinson Halletts as a lawyer in the leasing department. Gilbert Meadowcroft has also recently joined the firm as conveyancing manager in the property department. His background is in business development and contract administration. He is currently completing a Bachelor of Laws at Queensland University of Technology.
Professor Michael Pendleton has joined Deacons as special counsel. The firm said he is a renowned expert in intellectual property, with an interest in regional issues. He will work closely with Deacons’ national IP focus group.
