Thomson Playford Cutlers has confirmed with Lawyers Weekly that chief executive Brett Goodridge's tenure has ended and that he will be handing over the reins.

Adrian Tembel has been appointed chief executive partner and continues to lead the firm's corporate group in Adelaide.

Goodridge held the position of chief executive since January 2005 and prior to joining Thomson was general manager of Clayton Utz in Perth.

The firm was preparing to release a statement later on Friday.
