Corrs Chambers Westgath has bolstered its insolvency and restructuring capability following the appointment of former Allen & Overy lawyer Tim Klineberg.

Klineberg, who joins Corrs' Sydney team as a senior associate, has advised a range of stakeholders on a number of distressed situations and major corporate collapses, including secured and unsecured lenders, insolvency practitioners and trade creditors.

His experience at the Magic Circle firm included advising Citigroup and JP Morgan as bridge lenders to a distressed global packaging manufacturer and acting for Ernst & Young as PPP administrators of the Metronet companies on the £2.6 billion ($5.3 billion) restructuring of the London Underground, completed in 2008.
