Middletons has boosted its banking and finance capacity, appointing Karen Fairbairn as a special counsel.

Fairbairn joins the firm from Freehills, bringing with her more than 17 years' experience in the field.

At Middletons, she will advise on transaction work in corporate, project, asset and structured finance, as well as the debt capital markets area. She also advises on regulatory issues, debt restructurings and distressed asset sales.
