Allens Arthur Robinson has boosted its south-east Asian practice with the addition of Clifford Chance partner Rod Howell to its Singapore office.
Howell began his career with Allens but has rejoined the firm after five years as an asset finance specialist at Clifford Chance. In the Singapore office, Howell will be joined by energy and resources partner Darren Murphy, who relocated from the firm's Perth office, Marae Ciantar who heads the firm's Cambodia practice, and insurance partner Matthew Skinner from Sydney.
"Rod has several years' experience on the ground in Asia and after a stint in New York and was keen to resume practising here," said Singapore managing partner Robert Clarke. "His specific skills in a wide range of asset classes, including aircraft, shipping, rolling stock and infrastructure generally, are in high demand given the strong economic growth in south-east Asia."
