Mallesons Stephen Jaques has appointed Hong Kong commercial litigator Denis Brock as partner.

Joining the firm's Hong Kong office in October 2010, Brock comes from London where he was most recently partner in the London litigation and dispute resolution practice of Clifford Chance. Prior to that, Brock was head of Clifford Chance's litigation and dispute resolution practice in Asia, for which he was based in Hong Kong, from 1997 to 2006.

Mallesons chief executive partner Robert Milliner said the appointment was a coup for the firm, given Brock's leading reputation in the Asian market and his extensive experience in growing commercial litigation practices.
