Energy and resources specialist Tony Wassaf has joined the Sydney office of Jones Day from Allens Arthur Robinson where he was a partner.

Wassaf has more than 25 years of experience in the energy and resources sector, including experience in major Australian mining, pipeline and energy projects.

"Tony has built an international reputation for his commercial focus, his ability to quickly identify issues and find solutions, and his strength in contract drafting," said partner-in-charge of Jones Day's Sydney office, Chris Ahern.

Wassaf has been a director of AMPLA Limited, the Resources and Energy Law Association, for the last 10 years and he is also a member and council officer of the International Bar Association's section on energy, environment, natural resources and infrastructure law.
