Deputy vice-chancellor and chief operating officer of Macquarie University Peter Dodd has today (25 October) announced the appointment of Blake Dawson special counsel Paul Luttrell as general counsel, commencing 1 November.

 
 

"We are extremely fortunate to have secured the services of someone of Paul's calibre and experience," said Dodd.

"His expertise in the areas of governance and compliance advice to private and government entities, infrastructure and property, together with the areas of project finance and construction will be a major benefit to the university."

Luttrell previously advised the university on the establishment of the Macquarie University Hospital.

At Blake Dawson, Luttrell specialised in mining and resources law, banking and finance and commercial transactions.
