Minter Ellison has appointed two registered migration agents.
Associates Leyla Sandeman and Alexis Wallace will join special counsel Robert Reed in the firm's migration practice in Brisbane.
Reed said the appointments are a response to requests for migration advice from domestic and overseas clients.
"Clients are telling us that they risk higher wage costs and project delays as demand for labour increases," Reed said. There are few options available to them to deal with the short-term shortage other than recruiting talent from overseas."
Reed also said that his practice group helps to assist companies looking to start-up in Australia, and high net-worth individuals looking to settle and invest in Australia.
