HWL Ebsworth has added four new partners including two from the top-tier.
Senior commercial and tax lawyer Betsy-Ann Howe has left the partnership of Mallesons Stephen Jaques, with former Allens Arthur Robinson partner Mark Russell also joining her at HWL Ebsworth.
Joining the firm from Mallesons, Howe brings more than 25 years of tax experience spent in major law firms in Australia and New Zealand, as well as a number of years as the head of tax of a publicly listed financial services company.
Russell has joined HWL Ebsworth's banking and finance team from specialist bank and asset manager Investec.
Formerly a partner at Allens, Russell brings more than 20 years of experience leading debt funding for a number of significant, high value national and international projects across major infrastructure, energy, transport, retail and hotel projects.
HWL Ebsworth has also added to its property and litigation teams with the appointment of Kim Whitby and Tim Graham as partners in the firm's Melbourne office.
Whitby and Graham join the firm from McKean Park Lawyers, bringing expertise in strata and subdivision law, owners' corporations and dispute resolution. The pair also brings significant experience in building and construction law.
