Sparke Helmore has lured a construction law partner from Holding Redlich.

Grant Parker has joined Sparke Helmore as partner in the Sydney office, expanding the firm's capability in construction and major projects, public-private partnerships (PPPs) and sustainable development.

Parker advises the private and public sectors on major infrastructure developments and management of property and infrastructure assets and associated services. His construction law capability includes privately financed government infrastructure projects, having worked on PPPs in Australia and the United Kingdom.

Parker also advises on sustainable development, with significant experience in Green Star, the National Australian Built Environment Rating System, the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Scheme and the previously proposed Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme.

Prior to joining Holding Redlich, Parker previously worked in Australia with Gilbert + Tobin and also in the United Kingdom and New Zealand.

Holding Redlich senior associate Darren Rankine is also joining Sparke Helmore's construction, projects and infrastructure team
