HWL Ebsworth has expanded its national partnership with the appointment of seven new partners.
The firm has also announced the promotion of six new associates, five senior associates and two special counsel.
New to the firm's banking and financial practice is Melbourne-based Kon Tsiakis who has expertise in insolvency and reconstruction, particularly acting for banks and financiers.
Also new to the group is James Moore who, based in Sydney, has expertise in the laws, entities and relationships that define the financial sector, and the development and management of financial products, regulatory risk and compliance.
Ruth Neal has been promoted from special counsel to partner, with expertise in financial services regulation, consumer credit, privacy, anti-money laundering, and banking and payment systems.
Other appointments were made in HWL Ebsworth's maritime and trade group in Brisbane, as well as its health and building and construction practice groups in Melbourne
Anthony Borgese joins the HWL Ebsworth commercial team in Sydney with specialisation in IT/IP from his previous role as a senior partner at Mallesons Stephen Jaques.
