Gilbert + Tobin's chief information officer, Andrew Mitchell, has joined Lander & Rogers as its director of technology and innovation.

Earlier this year, Lander & Rogers recruited its director of business development and marketing Terry Kallenbach from Linklaters, and in early 2010 snapped up Freehills' national people and development manager, Catherine Whitehead, as its new director of human resources.

"It is significant and exciting that the firm is able to attract people of Andrew, Catherine and Terry's calibre," said Lander & Rogers chief operating officer Grant Scott-Hayward.

Mitchell has more than 20 years of IT-industry experience in a range of sectors, including legal, telecommunications, consulting, consumer goods and pharmaceutical.

Prior to his role with G+T, Mitchell worked in Singapore as an IT director with Schering-Plough Asia Pacific.
