Slater & Gordon has made four general manager promotions across Australia.
Former general manager of Slaters' personal injury group in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania, Cath Evans, has taken up the newly-created position of general manager corporate development & operations.
Evans, who joined the firm in 1994 as a personal injuries lawyer, will now oversee marketing, media, client experience and IT services while continuing to oversee development of Slaters' practices in SA and TAS.
Janine Gregory, a 15-year Slaters lawyer and an accredited specialist in personal injury law, has been appointed personal injuries general manager in Victoria. Gregory has managed the firm's transport accident commission group in Victoria for the past two years.
James Higgins has been appointed general manager of commercial & project litigation (C&PL), which includes the firm's class action practice. Higgins has led the Melbourne C&PL team since the merger of the project and commercial litigation teams. He joined the firm in 2002 and headed the Queensland Slaters office during its inception.
Graeme McFadyen has also been appointed general manager operations (private client services & family law). He previously managed a number of Australian law firms, including Trilby Misso Lawyers, which he headed as CEO when Slaters acquired the firm in August last year.
