Baker & McKenzie has appointed two former Maddocks senior associates to its banking and finance team.

David Cooper and Robyn Nairn will work for partner Sean Rush, who joined Baker & McKenzie from Maddocks in September.

Prior to his stint at Maddocks, Cooper was an in-house counsel at global investment bank Investec and, prior to that, a lawyer at Sparke Helmore. He has experience in multi-jurisdictional and cross-border finance transactions, and specialises in advising private equity houses, corporate borrowers and lenders.

Prior to her position at Maddocks, Nairn worked for Henry Davis York. Her practice focuses on acting for banks, private equity houses and corporate borrowers on financing transactions and debt restructurings. She also has experience advising clients on cross-border transactions, bilateral and syndicated deals, corporate finance, and construction and property finance.
