Arnold Bloch Leibler has appointed three new partners in its Sydney office.
Former Landerer & Company director Jonathan Caplan is the most recent recruit the firm has made. Caplan will join Arnold Bloch Leibler (ABL) in late November as a partner to lead the Sydney property & development practice.
Rick Narev joined ABL at the beginning of October, as a commercial & corporate partner from Freehills, and Nathan Briner joined the firm as a banking & finance partner from international law firm SJ Berwin.
Mark Leibler AC, senior partner, said all three partners were a strong fit with ABL as "they have acted for large public and private clients, including some who already instruct the firm".
Caplan was a director at Landerer & Company where he worked for over 17 years in the area of commercial property law, particularly among high-net-worth individuals and large private client groups with key operations in the property sector.
Narev was a partner of Freehills since 1996, during which time he developed skills in advising large-scale public companies and client groups on M&A, foreign investments, initial public offerings and other equity raisings, joint ventures, and transactional and strategic corporate advice.
Briner spent the past 12 years in London and has been a partner of SJ Berwin since 2005. He has advised lenders and borrowers in relation to structuring, negotiating and documenting bank facilities and structured financings.
