Queensland-based firm Cooper Grace Ward has appointed a lawyer to its commercial group, and another to its litigation and dispute resolution group.
Vicki Bowman joins the firm's commercial group while Melanie Thorley joins Cooper Grace Ward's (CGW) litigation and dispute resolution practice.
Bowman has experience with trusts, partnerships and companies in the areas of re-structuring small to medium enterprises, advising on potential taxation issues, acquisition and disposal of businesses, shareholders' agreements and joint venture arrangements.
She will provide tax and commercial advice on a range of business transactions.
Thorley, whose previous experience lies in construction litigation, will focus on providing construction, engineering and facilities management advice within the infrastructure team.
Thorley regularly volunteers at Nundah Community Legal Service providing legal advice in the form of a drop-in service.
