Deal Significance:

ASX-listed Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd (DPE) has entered into the German market in a deal worth up to $125 million.

Germany is the fourth largest pizza market in the world, according to a release from Thomson Geer.

Under the deal DPE established a controlling interest in a joint venture with UK-listed Domino's Pizza Group plc (DPG).

The joint venture will acquire the Domino's Pizza master franchise rights for Germany from the NYSE-listed US franchise owner.

The joint venture will acquire Germany's pizza delivery chain, Joey's Pizza, as well as DPG's current chain of Domino's Pizza stores in Germany.

On completion, DPE will hold the Domino's Pizza master franchise rights for Australia, New Zealand, Japan, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.

Thomson Geer also advised Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd on its $55 million acquisition of France-based Pizza Sprint in October 2015.
