Swedish-Australian cross-border deal sealed

Swedish-Australian cross-border deal sealed

Glen Hughes, K&L Gates

A global firm’s Sydney-based team advised a Swedish company on its acquisition of Accedo Broadband.

Firm: K&L Gates (SEB Private Equity)

Deal: SEB Private Equity acquired Accedo Broadband

Value: Confidential

Area: M&A

Key players: The K&L Gates team was led by partner Glenn Hughes (pictured) and included partners Christa Lenard and Simone Mitchell.

Deal significance: Stockholm-based SEB Private Equity (SEB) made a cross-border acquisition of video tech company Accedo Broadband (Accedo).

Accedo has a customer base of over 350 of the world's leading premium media companies, operators, broadcasters, and other video services providers, and reaches hundreds of millions of video consumers worldwide.

The acquisition of Accedo is expected to accelerate the growth and continued innovation of the tech company, and is just one of many recent investments by SEB in the expanding tech and media industries.

K&L Gates lead partner Mr Hughes said: “This global transaction involved the acquisition of numerous related companies in several international jurisdictions. K&L Gates is pleased to have assisted SEB in achieving a successful outcome.”
