A new website dubbed "LegalTube" aims to provide a legal matchmaking service for lawyers and potential clients via a Youtube style of video content online.

The US site claims it can take the headache out of finding a lawyer, ensure potential clients can avoid endless appointments and consultation fees and, most importantly, eliminate the risks associated with picking a lawyer at random. "Needing legal advice is stressful enough already," the site mission statement claims. "It's no time for a blind date!"

LegalTube allows potential clients to search by location and area of practice to suit their needs, while also offering a central hub to find video answers to common questions and explore legal topics. "It's as easy as watching TV!" the site creators claim. "You don't have to read any more dry legalese. Instead, watch and listen as a knowledgeable attorney explains it to you."

A quick tour of the site and a test search based on the practice group area shows that the concept is still very much in early development, with the results of a couple of test searches stating: "We are in the process of adding attorneys to our database."
