Partner Shannon Adams (pictured), special counsel Joshua Annese, senior associate Elaine Cheung and paralegal Nikki Grant joined Piper Alderman earlier this month.

The team specialises in financial services regulation and compliance, commercial arrangements involving financial services providers, lending transactions and securities enforcement.

Managing partner Tony Britten-Jones said: “Shannon and his team are a great fit for Piper Alderman.”

Mr Adams has experience in mutual financial institutions and the regulation of consumer credit.

He is a deputy chair of the Law Council of Australia’s financial services committee and a director of World Vision Australia and World Vision International.

In November last year, former King & Wood Mallesons lawyer Julian Grover was appointed as special counsel in Piper Alderman’s national IP practice.
