McCabe Curwood welcomes new employment group leader

Mid-tier firm McCabe Curwood has appointed a new practice group leader for its employment law team.

Nicola Martin, who was previously a special counsel at Norton Rose Fulbright, has joined the “expanding” commercial team at McCabe Curwood, noting that she is focused on best supporting clients achieve their objectives while navigating “a heavily regulated environment”.

“The day-to-day aspects of our advice covers all aspects of the employment lifecycle, from advice around recruitment, to preparing and rolling out training programs, policies and contracts, and advising on restraints, executive terminations and restructures,” she said.

“Within McCabe Curwood, the employment group also plays an important supporting role to the corporate team, providing advice on the employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions.”

Managing principal Andrew Lacey said that Ms Martin would make an “excellent addition” to the employment group and to the firm, bringing a “wealth of experience and knowledge in employment law”.

“Nicola’s experience, particularly through her secondments to a major financial organisation, global infrastructure company as well as a transportation corporation is impressive; this firsthand experience offers valuable insight into clients’ businesses, how they operate and also the pain points they experience with the law, which gives us a greater ability to provide outstanding customer experience to our clients,” he said.
