Five lawyers have been promoted across a New South Wales-based firm, including a new special counsel and senior associates.

Kells has announced its ranks will be joined by Jarrad Downs and Ashleigh Barry, who have been elevated to senior associate roles. Nicki McNamara takes on a role as special counsel and Mark Evans and Mitchell Micevski to associates.

Kells managing partner Paul Magagnino said the promotions reflected legal expertise and recognised the firm’s core values of ethics, innovation, people and results, adding: “These individuals have shown an exceptional work ethic, technical ability and teamwork.

“They should be recognised for their outstanding commitment to Kells.”

Kells currently has six partners who lead a specialised practice group within their core areas of law across its five Sydney and Illawarra-based offices.

“Congratulations to each of our promoted lawyers,” Mr Magagnino said. “I wish them well in their new roles and look forward to the enthusiasm and talent they bring as Kells’ next generation of leaders.”
