In a statement, the firm said that Mr Fisher “has proven himself to be a highly capable corporate lawyer and a skilled negotiator, becoming a trusted advisor for several of our key clients and an indispensable member of our commercial, agri-business and corporate transactions teams”.
Before joining Hazelbrook in May 2019, Mr Fisher worked as a corporate lawyer at EY Law both in Sydney and London.
The firm said that it is focused on providing “genuine opportunities” for its staff to grow: “We have always sought to ‘grow our own’ because, from our own experience, we know how critical it is for staff to have a clear and transparent path to leadership roles,” it said.
The promotion capped off a “great” 2020 for the firm, it continued, as far as business during a global pandemic goes.
“We didn’t make any salary adjustments, reduce any hours or furlough any staff this year, in fact all our staff received upward salary adjustments at EOFY. We also started a new wellness program this year in which mental and physical wellness sessions are provided in-house with a tailored program for each staff member,” it submitted.
“We are an exciting business. Despite COVID-19, we opened our first interstate office in Sydney this year and we are growing.”
