INTERNATIONAL FIRM Holman Fenwick has boosted its Melbourne and London practices with the appointment of two new partners, Aaron Jordan and Matt Illingworth.

Jordan joins the firm’s Melbourne team from Melbourne firm Oakley Thompson & Co. He is an experienced transactional lawyer with expertise in a range of public and private treaty transactions, including capital raisings, mergers, acquisition and joint ventures. He regularly advises companies on corporate law and securities issues including directors’ duties, continuous disclosure and ASX and Corporations Act compliance. He also has significant experience advising exploration companies on various aspects of their business.

Illingworth, who has joined the firm’s London practice from DLA Piper, specialises in both contentious and non-contentious marine insurance and marine personal injury matters. He has broad experience in English and international court proceedings and international arbitration and mediation. His clients include major ship owners and operators, P&I Clubs, port operators, dredging companies, shipyards, trading companies, offshore operators, drilling contractors, offshore constructors and oil and gas companies.
