Amy Nikolovski has been appointed to the managing partner position at DBH Lawyers, bringing to the role almost 15 years’ experience.

According to a statement from the firm, the move marks Ms Nikolovski as the youngest and only female leading a large law firm in South Australia.

Ms Nikolovski became a partner at DBH Lawyers in 2015. Throughout her time at the firm she has specialised in the areas of workers’ compensation, motor vehicle accident, public liability and general personal injury law.

In addition to her role at DBH, she was a founding partner behind the firm’s women’s professional networking group, Doing Business in Heels. Further, Ms Nikolsvki is the immediate past chair of the equality, diversity and inclusion committee and served as the South Australian representative on the Law Council of Australia’s equal opportunity committee between 2018 and 2021.

In congratulating her on her appointment to managing partner, outgoing managing partner, Matt DeGregorio, said that Ms Nikolovski was the obvious choice to succeed him.

“Aside from being recognised as a leading lawyer across her areas of expertise in South Australia and nationally, Amy’s passion, drive and commitment to supporting women in the legal profession are well recognised,” Mr DeGregorio said.

“I have no doubt that over the next few years she will continue to provide outstanding leadership for the firm, and in true Amy spirit, continue to break down barriers and act as a fantastic role model for the next generation of lawyers.”

Commenting on her new role, Ms Nikolovski said: “I feel both honoured and humbled to be appointed managing partner of DBH.

“For more than 50 years, DBH has not only been an industry leader in legal practice, but also through the way in which we give back to the communities that we serve.

“I’m looking forward to continuing to develop the firm’s legacy, by working in partnership with our clients to deliver great outcomes, being involved in community projects and events, and leading our team of exceptional people into an exciting new era for the firm.”
